On March 1, Dr. Todd Durham (Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Clinical & Outcomes Research, Foundation Fighting Blindness) will lead a dry AMD patient-focused drug development seminar. The online event is open to all (patients, families, professionals) and will include a panel of patients talking about their experiences with dry AMD.
Volunteers for the panel are urgently needed who are willing to speak either about how dry AMD impacts their lives (symptoms, activities of daily living, work, emotions, etc.) OR how they’ve managed or treated dry AMD (AREDS, magnifiers, medications, etc).
The main point of the seminar is to hear from as many patients / affected individuals or caregivers as possible who will participate in two live Zoom panels. Featured guest speakers on the program will be Tracy Gray, MBA, RN, MS (Health Scientist, Patient Engagement Lead, Patient Science & Engagement, CDRH) and Emily Chew, M.D, (Director of the Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Applications, National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health).
To volunteer for the program, contact Dr. Durham as soon as possible at [email protected]. To watch the live stream on March 1 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (ET), follow this link: https://public.jaeb.org/ffb
